Racing returns to Milwaukee Mile on Father's Day, discounted tickets available

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After almost five years, stock car racing is returning to the Milwaukee Mile at State Fair Park on Father's Day, June 16. 

Joining the ARCA Midwest Tour will be the Vintage Indy Registry, Upper Midwest Vintage Series, Midwest Trucks, and the Mid Am Stock Cars. The Milwaukee Mile is the oldest operating motor speedway in the world, opening in 1903 and hosting major racing events through 2015. The last professional auto race held at the “Milwaukee Mile” was on July 12, 2015. 

Pits and infield gates open Sunday, June 16 at 7:00 AM, with grandstand gates opening at 9:00, practice at 9:30, qualifying at 11:00, and racing to take the green at 1:00 PM.

Discounted tickets are available at Milwaukee-area Menards locations including stores in Beaver Dam, Burlington, Franklin, Germantown, Johnson Creek, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Pewaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Waukesha, West Allis, West Bend, and West Milwaukee.

Menards stores in the Milwaukee area have general admission adult tickets on sale for $20, a $10 savings off the race day walk-up ticket price. Children 5-11 are $5, and children under 5 are free for general admission.
