Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Gravy
We have now had eleven days in a row without any rain whatsoever which is the longest dry streak of the year, but that could change later this week when rain chances finally return to the forecast! Going into this week Milwaukee has only seen one day with rain in September and it was a measly 0.02". The month is running 1.64" behind on rainfall and the last 30 days are running 2.85" behind average! We are technically still in a precipitation surplus for the year of 5.49" but all that rain in spring and early summer doesn't really help us now.
Tuesday and Wednesday still look to stay dry with rain in Minnesota and Iowa having a hard time crossing the Mississippi River. Most of Thursday looks dry but late Thursday evening and especially Thursday night could see the return of rain with better chances heading into Friday.
That first rain chance in two weeks starts to break down our dry patter with rain chances getting closer to us for the weekend then another chance on Monday of next week.
While we might not get any big soaking rains, at this point most of us will take anything! The soaking, heavy rains probably stay in Minnesota and Iowa but we should at least get 0.10-0.25" through Monday of next week.
