Report: Bucks to begin NBA playoffs without Giannis Antetokounmpo
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Reports early Tuesday, April 16 from ESPN NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski suggest that the Milwaukee Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo as the playoffs begin.
The #3 seeded Bucks are set to begin their series against the #6 seeded Indiana Pacers on Sunday, April 21.
The team is reportedly hopeful that Antetokounmpo will return later in the series.
"Until we know if he's playing or not, we're going to prepare like he's not playing," said Bucks forward Khris Middleton. "Simple as that."
"He's doing well, he's walking around, he looks good," said Bucks head coach Doc Rivers. "He's, I can say, farther than we thought he would be. But just not ready yet."
"It's not the first game he's missed, unfortunately, so we just have to carry along," Middleton added. "While he's off on the side trying to get back ready, we have to focus who's on the court."
