Report: Former Marquette star Lazar Hayward arrested for falsifying COVID documents

LIHUE, Hawaii (CBS 58) --  Former Marquette basketball star and NBA player Lazar Hayward was reportedly arrested in Hawaii last week after allegedly falsifying COVID-19 test results to avoid a quarantine period in the state of Hawaii.

Hawaii News Now first reported that Hayward, 34, and another person he was traveling with, were arrested at Lihue Airport in Kauai Tuesday after police were informed that the duo submitted fake negative COVID test results into the state’s Safe Travels portal.

Hawaii requires a 10-day traveler quarantine for any individual who is not vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
