MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - About 37,000 We Energies customers are without power throughout Wisconsin as of 8:15 p.m. on Thursday night.
This comes about 24 hours after there were 45,000 customers without power on Wednesday night.
We Energies crews resolved power for those customers on Thursday morning, with the focus now shifting to those without power on Thursday night.
“We started planning a few days ago, part of that was making sure we’ve had extra crews available,” We Energies Spokesperson Brendan Conway said.
Planned work has been suspended for crews, so they are available to respond to outages throughout the area.
“Mother nature can take a turn at the last minute,” Conway said. “We make sure we have all of our contractors available, all of our We Energy workers and then once the storm hits if there are outages we’re going to always respond quickly and safely.”
