MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Friday, July 8, Ruby's Bagels got back in action at Zocalo Food Park after having to halt businesses because of the Common Cookhouse Fire.
On June 22, Oak Creek Fire Department responded to a fire at Common Cookhouse effecting 18 businesses including Ruby's Bagels.
"When I got the text that the kitchen was on fire I thought it was something small until I actually drove there," said Daniela Varela, owner of Ruby's Bagels.
The damage of the fire was extensive. Varela said her and her team were able to get back on their feet from the help of the community kind strangers.
"Everyone just you know donated to us and its been amazing," said Varela.
On Saturday, July 9, Franksville Craft Beer Garden will be hosting a fundraiser for numerous food trucks and small food businesses.
