NOW: Scattered showers likely on Wednesday as cool temps return for the rest of the week
NEXT:

Tuesday was our best chance to see near average temps this week and we still fell short with most of southeast Wisconsin reaching highs in the middle 70s. That made it the 11th straight day in a row in Milwaukee to see below-average temps and the 17th of the last 18 days to be below average.

Now temperatures have dropped and stay cool in the 60s the rest of this week. Our next chance for some 70s for highs doesn't arrive until the middle of next week.

In addition to the cooler weather, scattered showers have returned. This is our first real rainfall in over a week for most of southeast Wisconsin. A few rounds of showers will be possible for Wednesday morning through the early afternoon. Most of the area should be dry by dinner time.

Rain totals Wednesday shouldn't be super high for most with many between a tenth to three-tenths of an inch of rain. River levels have returned to their pre-flooding levels and heavy rain is no longer a big concern.

We have one more chance for showers this week. Download the CBS 58 Weather app to see when it happens.
