Scattered Storms Arrive Tonight

A few elevated showers are expected during the evening as a warm front pushes in from the south.  The best ingredients for showers and storms will remain to the south of Wisconsin for this event; however, we are expecting scattered showers and storms to arrive later tonight.

Severe weather will break out across Iowa during the late afternoon and evening.  The remnants of those showers and storms will head in our direction after midnight.  Overall the ingredients for severe weather are lacking.  We are void of deep moisture and sufficient instability for strong to severe storms to flourish.

Storms that hold together will produce heavy rainfall, small hail, and gusty winds.  It appears the models will move the strongest of the storms across our northern counties.  The best timing for these storms will be from 11 pm till 3 am.
