Scattered storms likely Thursday after some saw heavy rain Wednesday
Our northern counties saw the brunt of strong to severe storms and heavy rain Wednesday. A few severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties and Ozaukee and Washington Counties were under a flash flood warning until 1 AM Thursday morning. Those counties saw up to 3" of rain in just a few hours. The focus of soaking rain was in all of our northern counties but closer to the I-94 corridor saw less and some of our southern counties didn't see any measurable rain.
More scattered showers and storms are likely on Thursday. This will not be a widespread rain and many of us see long dry breaks for hours on end but anytime you look at the radar it's likely that someone somewhere in our area will be seeing a shower or storm. The chance for rain will linger through the late evening hours. Both Friday and Saturday look mostly dry but rain chances also aren't totally zero.
Any rain we see on Thursday shouldn't be as heavy as Wednesday with most only getting a tenth or quarter inch of rain. Those that see thunderstorms or some downpours could get up to a half inch. No widespread severe weather is expected today but an isolated strong storm cannot be ruled out.
