Search continues for missing Franklin priest, family calls for public's help
FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Retired priest, Father Anthony Kluckman, has been missing for almost ten months now.
The 75-year-old, who suffers from dementia, disappeared from a senior apartment complex in Franklin.
His family hasn't giving up hope on finding out what happened to him with help from the community.
"We are here this morning to continue searching for my brother and father Anthony, or as we know him, John. He just vanished, disappeared last July," said Father Kluckman's younger brother, Robert Kluckman.
Dozens gathered this morning near where Father Kluckman went missing, near Sacred Heart at Monastery Lake.
"Well, he was my oldest brother at 13 years old[er]. He was the head of the [family], the firstborn. Great guy, great priest, great friend, great brother," said Robert.
The last time anyone saw him was the moment he walked away from his senior living center.
"He walked out of his apartment building and is last seen on camera walking toward the highway and then he vanishes," said Private Investigator Mary Butler.
Butler says she's been investigating the case now for several months.
Saturday, they were hoping to potentially find a needle in a haystack, any small piece of evidence that could point them in the direction of where he went.
"He was carrying a little black backpack with him. He had a bracelet on, wearing glasses," said Butler.
They're also continuing to call on the public to come forward, if they saw anything like an elderly man walking along nearby roads last summer.
"We have a lot of unknown answers. We just got some billboards put up. The family's offering a $10,000 reward for any information," said Butler.
"We've just been waiting, hoping something comes about whether he's found or some kind of information," said Robert.
