'Senior Assassin' game sparks police involvement after teens cross the line
MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- A wildly popular game is starting up with high school seniors across the country and here in Southeast Wisconsin.
It's called "Senior Assassin" or "Paranoia," but now the game is triggering law enforcement to get involved.
"That was like one of my highlights of my senior year," said Luci Kiedrowski, former player.
In the game, high school seniors form groups and ambush their unsuspecting target.
"You get groups with your friends and then you target other groups and shoot them with water," said Kiedrowski.
If you're the last one standing, you could win big.
"Couple grand, I think it was 2,300, something like that," said Ali Mortada, former player.
However, the lighthearted game has caused some problems for Mukwonago High School.
While it's not a school sponsored activity, a letter was sent out after Mukwonago police were called on some rogue assassins.
It says if students are caught being unruly, it could cost them or even result in an out-of-school suspension.
While a fun way to spend your last semester in high school, the Mukwonago police chief says they've gotten calls for kids running stop signs, red lights, and even streaking to avoid getting their clothes wet.
"Just enjoy it, but keep it legal," said Jack Savage, former player.
Mukwonago police say no one has been arrested but if kids cross the line or trespass, they say to call the police.
