Severe storms bring funnel clouds and heavy rain to parts of southeast Wisconsin

NOW: Severe storms bring funnel clouds and heavy rain to parts of southeast Wisconsin
NEXT:

Strong to severe thunderstorms developed as expected Wednesday afternoon and evening. Five tornado warnings were issued for southeast Wisconsin in Jefferson, Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties. A few other communities were under severe thunderstorm warnings for strong wind. Many other areas saw heavy rain.

There were a few reports of tornadoes reaching the ground, especially in Dodge County, but other videos and photos did not show the funnel clouds touching down and there were no reports of damage so the National Weather Service will be out surveying those areas that saw funnel clouds to see if and how strong any tornadoes were.

Sheboygan County didn't have any tornado reports but saw lots of heavy rain with flooding reported. Fond du Lac County also reported some flooding. Rain totals were close to 5" in part of Sheboygan County and a lot of our northern counties saw at least one inch but the Milwaukee/Waukesha metro got closer to a tenth of an inch or less.
