'She was a beautiful person': Waukesha family remembers Jane Kulich
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58)-- Memorials made up of flowers, candles and balloons continue to grow in downtown Waukesha for the victims of the Waukesha Christmas parade incident.
One of the victims is 52-year-old Jane Kulich. Her husband of 22 years sat down with CBS News.
"I needed her. I've always needed her, and they need her, too," John Kulich said.
Jane Kulich, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, was taken too soon.
"Her whole world was her family, and she was good at it, really good at it," John Kulich said. "She was the rock that held us together, the stable force."
Jane Kulich was at the Waukesha Christmas parade with people from work when she was run down and killed by a man driving a red SUV through the parade route.
"She was a beautiful person, not only to us, but to everyone she met," John Kulich said. "I never heard a bad word about her. Everyone who met her always loved her."
Her husband, three children, and three grandchildren are grieving the loss of a woman who touched her community with the same love she gave them.
"The one thing I said about her that I can't say about anybody else is that I've never heard her say a bad word, even about the people she doesn't like," her son Jacob Kulich said.
John Kulich told CBS News something that surprised him. His wife's autopsy showed she had uterine cancer.
Jane Kulich's last act of kindness was donating her organs.
"I wanted the world to know what was taken. She was a beautiful person," John Kulich said.
A GoFundMe page was created to help the family pay for funeral and memorial costs.
