Sheboygan County crash leaves 1 dead, child injured

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is dead, and a child is injured after a crash in Sheboygan County.

It happened on Sunday, June 30 around 1:10 p.m. 

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, they were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident near County Road S and State Highway 67 in the Town of Plymouth. Preliminary investigation showed that a 61-year-old man from Saukville was driving a SUV east on State Highway 67, when a 53-year-old man from Plymouth was operating a pickup truck. The truck was traveling west on State Highway 67 and turned south, colliding with the SUV. 

The Saukville man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 12-year-old passenger in the SUV was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee.

The sheriff's office says alcohol appears to be a factor in the incident.
