SALEM LAKES, Wis. (CBS 58) -- New details into the arrest of an elementary school staff member in Silver Lake.
In a special meeting Monday night, the school board fired 33-year-old Anna-Marie Crocker.
She was arrested last week after being accused of sexually assaulting both current and former students.
The school board's president says they're taking this step to keep their students safe.
"The Silver Lake-Salem joint school district takes this matter extremely seriously," said Brian Hopkins, president of the Silver Lake-Salem School Board. "The safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. Anyone who seeks to harm or prey on children will not have a place in our school community."
Crocker has been charged with three felonies, including first degree child sexual assault.
She'll be in court on Thursday, Oct. 17.
