A boost in temperatures despite the lack of sunshine
Most of the rain so far this week has been light or confined to the morning or night. That changes on Thursday with a soaking rain expected. At least scattered showers, but at times steady rain, are likely throughout the day. A few dry breaks are possible here and there but they are likely short-lived until the evening when the rain turns more scattered and eventually isolated Thursday night.
Going into Thursday's rain event we are above-average on rainfall for the month of October by a couple tenths of an inch. If we didn't get any more rain this month we would have ended in a rain deficit but the soaker for Thursday we will be in good shape and likely end the month with a rain surplus.
After a soggy Thursday, Friday's rain chance looks pretty isolated and light but a thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Most of Saturday is dry but our last wave of rain rolls in Saturday late evening/night through Sunday.
Rain totals by the end of the week look to range from 0.50-1.50" with most of that falling on Thursday.
