MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Students at Milwaukee's Golda Meir School demonstrated some of the things that Fab Lab Technology can do today.
Golda Meir is one of the schools that's getting grant money from the state's economic development corporation to upgrade their Fab Labs.
A Fab Lab is a high-tech workshop stocked with the latest equipment. The goal is to prepare students for future jobs in manufacturing and engineering.
"This is very exciting for me. It's like, cause I don't know which kind of engineering I want to be so this is like, so I know we have software engineering...there's a lot going on that helps think about your future," said Aaliyah Morse, a junior at Golda Meir School.
Twenty school districts around the state are getting the Fab Lab grants, including Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and St. Francis.
