The ongoing heat and humidity won't be going anywhere this weekend, but relief is on the horizon. Dew points stay in the mid to upper 60s today and lower 70s Sunday, but we'll finally experience a drop in humidity early in the work week.
Mostly sunny skies are expected today, helping temps warm into the low to mid 80s lakeside and mid to upper 80s inland. A lake breeze will establish itself by late morning and gradually push inland during the afternoon.
More clouds will mix with the sun on Sunday, but we'll stay dry throughout the day.
Building heat and humidity throughout the day will help fuel scattered showers and storms Sunday night into early Monday morning.
A second round of storms is expected Monday evening into Tuesday morning. A few storms Monday evening could be strong to severe. A level 1, Marginal Risk, is in place for a portion of SE WI on Monday. Heavy rain is likely with these storms as well.
Showers and storms will wrap up Tuesday morning with cooler and less humid weather expected the rest of the week.
