Milwaukee (CBS 58)--It's definitely not 1983 when it was -12 on Christmas Day. But it's certainly closer to that 61 high temperature one year earlier on this very special holiday. The highs the next few days are expected to hover around 50 degrees. For those who get more sun, look for milder temps into the 50s. It should stay dry as well with a developing storm system staying north Wednesday into Thursday.
Our next significant storm system will be this weekend and will feature a little bit of everything as it stands now. It'll be a rain event, primarily, on Saturday and then a mix to light snow situation on Sunday with chillier air.
Meantime, it's interesting to look at Christmas Day stats over the years. Like 1909. That year was the snowiest with a half of foot of snow. And ten years ago, we nearly had an inch of rain. You never really know what kind of weather Mother Nature will "gift us" this time of year.
