We've closed the book on September, which will go down as our 6th warmest September on record, and October started right where September left off.
Check out the high temps across the state today! Temps were in the mid to upper 80s for most of Wisconsin with a couple spots reaching the low 90s near the Mississippi River.
More of the same can be expected the next two days: sunny skies, temps in the mid 80s, and a southeasterly lake breeze developing each afternoon. That lake breeze will likely keep temps from breaking records.
While temps will still be mild on Wednesday, a cold front will start to slowly move into the state. This could trigger a few isolated showers or storms in the afternoon and evening. This front now looks to pass through early Thursday morning, so Thursday is trending drier.
However, a second, stronger cold front will make its way across the state on Friday, bringing more showers and holding temps either side of 60. Behind this front, temps will only be in the mid 50s to around 60 next weekend.
