Summers are trending warmer as we are expecting an above average summer in Wisconsin

As we start the new work week it starts on a bit of a cooler trend with highs mostly staying in the 60s Monday then around 70 on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday are the warmest days of the week in the low 80s then it's back to average on Friday in the mid 70s.

If you feel like summers the last few years have trended warmer, you are not wrong. Looking at the number of days above average over the last 50+ years we see about 17 more above average days nowadays than we did in the late 1900s.

For summer 2024 there continues to be a trend of above average temps. Wisconsin is expecting a 30% to 40% chance for above average temperatures for the meteorological summer months of June, July and August.
