Suspected father and daughter killed in early morning house fire in Pleasant Prairie

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 73-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, believed to be father and daughter, were found inside a burning home early Thursday, April 2 near the corner of 116th Ave. and 26th Ave. in Pleasant Prairie, according to the Pleasant Prairie Police Department.
Officers and firefighters responded at around 2:40 a.m. and found active flames when they arrived. Firefighters pushed through the front door after learning people were believed to be inside.
Both victims were taken to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead.
The fire was brought under control by 3:43 a.m.
The Kenosha County Arson Task Force and Pleasant Prairie went to the scene as a standard practice, and their investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
