Teen charged in the death of 10-year-old in court, bound over for trial

Wisconsin Court System MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man charged with shooting and killing 10-year-old Isdennyeliaz Ortiz was in court on Thursday, June 13.
Eighteen-year-old Javier Rodriguez is facing a charge of second-degree reckless homicide.
The criminal complaint said 10-year-old Isdennyeliaz Ortiz was sleeping in bed with her mother and baby brother when a bullet came through the ceiling and hit her in the chest.
Ortiz died at the scene.
Rodriguez had his preliminary hearing. According to court documents, the court found probable cause and bound Rodriguez over for trial.
His next court appearance is scheduled for July 12.
