The Sugar Maple to host Nintendo-themed 'Bartendo' event
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Japanese multinational video game company Nintendo is known for introducing the world to characters like Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Zelda and Link, among others.
The Sugar Maple, a Milwaukee bar and community center since 2008, will soon immerse visitors in the world of Nintendo with its event named "Bartendo."
Spanning from Thursday, Oct. 19 to Sunday, Oct. 22, the gathering aims to celebrate all things Nintendo.
An art show will feature the works of local artists dedicated to the Nintendo theme, while attendees can also enjoy gaming experiences at multiple stations, with fan-favorites such as Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros. ready for four-player setups.
Mechanical Life Vein is set to perform a live Nintendo jazz score, while themed food trucks will also be available each night. Those in attendance can also capture memories at the Mario-inspired and Game Boy photo booths.
Tatiana’s Tiny Zoo will present real reptiles on Sunday afternoon. A variety of themed cocktails, mocktails, and a distinctive sour IPA, "Wonkey Kong", will be served to quench thirsts. Limited edition merchandise designed by Harrison Browning will be available for those eager to take a piece of Bartendo home.
The event embraces attendees of all ages, with specific family-friendly timings, especially during Sunday's afternoon session.
