Milwaukee (CBS 58)--Today is all about mathematics. It’s Pi Day. Pi is a constant, equaling 3.14. One near north side restaurant is taking advantage of all the math fun with a sale on all kinds of pies, especially chicken.
There will also be a variety of sweet ones, including pecan, key lime, and sweet potato. The chef and brain child behind the event is Venice Williams who runs a community garden practically across the street from The Tandem in the Lindsey Heights neighborhood.
Money raised from all the pie sales will go to the operating costs at The Tandem. The event runs until 9 this evening.
