MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Thousands packed the Baird Center for the final day of the Midwest Gaming Classic.

It also happened to be family day!

This is the largest gaming event in the country.

Gamers of all ages could go for the high score on 10,000 games.

The Midwest Gaming Classic has come a long way after starting 25 years ago in a West Allis basement.

"Twenty-five years ago, I was not thinking it was going to be like this, but it happened because of all the people that come together and keep driving it forward, wanting to share, wanting to meet new individuals and wanting to make the world a more understanding place," said Midwest Gaming Classic Co-Founder Dan Loosen.

The dates for next year were just announced, the Midwest Gaming Classic will be back at the Baird Center April 23rd to the 25th in 2027.
