MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The coronavirus pandemic has put thousands of restaurant workers out of jobs. Now you can help employees at your favorite restaurants or bars.
Allen Halas started TipMKE.com. It's a running list of restaurant workers that could use extra cash. The list has their name, where they work, and convenient ways for you to send them an extra tip.
"It is a good directory to find somebody you might not normally keep in contact with," said Halas.
If you're a restaurant worker, it's easy to sign up.
"Any bartender or service industry member can sign-up by clicking the button at the top of the website and the opens a form that automatically populates the spreadsheet the list," Halas said.
More than 400 people have signed up from hundreds of local restaurants, including Cafe Corazon, AJ Bombers, and Who's On Third.
