Traffic Light Outage Planned for Milwaukee's West Side

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works announced Saturday that due to a scheduled We Energies substation shutdown, traffic signals at the west side intersections listed below will not be functioning on Sunday, April 17 from approximately 5:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

  • N. 27th St. & W. Highland Ave.
  • N. 32nd St. & W. Wisconsin Ave.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Juneau Ave.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Highland Ave.
  • N. 35th St. & W. State St.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Kilbourn Ave.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Wells St.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Wisconsin Ave.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Michigan Ave.
  • N. 35th St. & W. Clybourn St.
  • N. 36th St. & W. Wisconsin Ave.

Beginning at 4:00 AM on Sunday morning, crews will switch the traffic signals to a four-way red flash. During this time period, crews will post four-way STOP signs at each intersection. Power then will be turned off to the signals and We Energies work will commence.
