Milwaukee County Sheriff\'s Office

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Charges have been filed against two people in connection to a human trafficking case at Milwaukee Soldiers Home, a housing complex for veterans.

Thirty-five-year-old Derek Brown and 37-year-old Sarah Kueny are accused of pressuring a teen into participating in commercial sex acts for money. Prosecutors say the teen had nowhere else to live and was staying with Brown and Kueny at their apartment within the veterans complex at the time of the alleged trafficking.

Police were notified in March.

Both Brown and Kueny are charged with receiving compensation for human trafficking. Brown is also charged with keeping a place of prostitution.

In her preliminary hearing Tuesday, Kueny pleaded not guilty. Brown's hearing was pushed to early September.
