Two Racine County Jail inmates charged after fighting over a cookie

RACINE COUNTY (CBS 58) -- Two Racine County Jail inmates are facing additional charges after a fight over a cookie.

It happened around 8:10 p.m. on March 26.

Dezerric Pitts and Jermain Winters are now facing Disorderly Conduct charges.

According to the criminal complaint, a correctional officer was distributing medication when he noticed Winters was holding Pitts against a wall. The two were ordered to stop fighting but then they allegedly began to wrestle.

Officers spoke with the two inmates.

Pitts said that he took a cookie that Winters claimed was his and that they got into a fight.

Winters said that Pitts took his cookies and they got into a fight.
