UW-Madison now requiring proof of vaccination status

CBS 58

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The University of Wisconsin - Madison is now requiring all students to provide proof of their vaccination status.

This comes about a week after a measles case was confirmed on campus.

Moving forward, students will have to let the university know whether they've gotten these five shots:

1. Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)

2. Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap)

3. Chicken Pox

4. Meningococcal (ACWY, B)

5. Hepatitis B

Anyone that doesn't could be put on a registration hold.

We do want to note that students aren't being required to be vaccinated.

But the university wants to track who could be at risk when things like measles exposures happen on campus.
