WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- We're getting a first look at expansion plans for the Versiti Blood Research Institute (VBRI) in Wauwatosa. 

Versiti submitted its plans to the city, which includes a state-of-the-art 79,000-square-foot addition. 

Versiti says it will add about 100 new jobs and generate about $19 million in tax revenue over the next 30 years. 

The expansion is estimated to cost nearly $80 million, funded by donations and private dollars, on top of a $10 million grant from Gov. Tony Evers' 2023-2025 budget.
