MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There is still no glass in the front door here at "In The Nick of Time" but it was business as usual Sunday night.

The owner is upset about the break-in but he's got video and he hopes it helps find the thieves.

Listen closely and you can hear the thieves whisper "turn the light off," but that doesn't help hide their identities.

"It's definitely uncalled for," Nick Greer, owner and head cook of 'In The Nick of Time' said.

Greer said the alleged burglary happened around four a.m. Sunday.

When Greer arrived to his business he found police outside.

"I actually was coming in and police officers were walking up the street with their guns out, when I pulled in the glass was busted and they said they just received a call."

Greer's Facebook posts with video of the thieves and of the damage have hundreds of shares and comments.

CBS 58 learned the alarm was disabled, and thieves stole more than $2,000 worth of personal and business items.

"I'm a single owner, I'm a father of five, I have bills," Greer said. "I don't have extra money to be paying for glass windows."

The break-in forced Greer to open up four hours late, but that didn't deter his customers.

In the nearly four years since he's been open, Greer said he’s never had an issue like this.

"I'm kind. I'm cool. I'm down to earth. You could ask for anything. So for somebody to steal from me it's like heartbreaking, actually."

CBS 58 has reached out to Milwaukee Police for an update on their investigation, but have not yet heard back.
