Warm and mostly dry Memorial Day

NOW: Warm and mostly dry Memorial Day

We finally saw a bit of rain over the weekend (in some areas). South of I-94 got a decent soaking rain Saturday night into Sunday morning. Some communities close to the IL border got around an inch of rain with over 0.20" south of I-94. It was Milwaukee's biggest rain of the month at 0.21".

That rainfall in Milwaukee pushed the monthly total for May to 0.36" which is currently the third driest start to May on record. The super dry start to May comes after April was the wettest April on record in Milwaukee.

We are watching a few showers in western Wisconsin Monday morning. Some of that activity could briefly reach some of our western counties. Any rain that does fall will be super light but a few isolated showers or sprinkles are possible this morning. It's also going to be warm Memorial Day with afternoon highs in the 80s and breezy as well.

The warmth will continue into Tuesday with highs potentially reaching the upper 80s. Then a cold front drops in Tuesday evening dropping the temps into the upper 70s for Wednesday and into the 60s for Thursday with a lake breeze.

Even though it's going to be a warm Memorial Day and start to the week, it's not going to be very humid. Dew points will mostly hang out in the mid 50s staying mainly in the pleasant or comfortable category.
