MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Every now and then we get to share a special moment with a family, and it happened for our CBS 58 crew Thursday, Oct. 2. We were there when a little boy got the surprise of his life.
His name is Elias and he's being treated for leukemia. He and his brother share a room and on Thursday, they were both surprised with a bedroom makeover. The theme: Mario and Luigi, two of their favorite characters.
A group called Special Spaces Wisconsin, along with Northwestern Mutual Downtown Milwaukee, made it happen.
Special Spaces Wisconsin is a nonprofit that creates dream bedrooms for kids and teenagers who are battling cancer, and Elias now has a really cool place to sleep at night.
Amazing!
