Waukesha schools closed Monday in wake of holiday parade tragedy

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to a statement from the School District of Waukesha Sunday night, Nov. 21, all Waukesha Schools will be closed Monday, Nov. 22, following the Waukesha holiday parade tragedy.
"As a result of this situation, school will be canceled on Monday, November 22, 2021, for all students in grades 4K - 12," the School District of Waukesha announced in the statement. "Additionally, the District will have additional counselors available during the school day at all buildings for all students that may be in need of support services."
Officials added that a decision on whether school will return on Tuesday, Nov. 23, will be determined during the day on Monday
