Wausau woman arrested for 4th OWI in Marathon County Saturday

MARATHON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol arrested a woman on 44th Avenue South near Stewart Avenue in Marathon County for a 4th Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) offense Saturday, Oct. 9.

Authorities say that the incident occurred at approximately 6:13 p.m. Saturday

The driver, 58-year-old Sarah Helen Brandt of Wausau, was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Wausau Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense.

Officials say a trooper stopped a black 2007 Chrysler 300 that Brandt was driving Saturday for an equipment violation.

Reports show that during the stop, signs of impairment and a field sobriety test indicated that Brandt was operating the vehicle while under the influence.
