A warm but slightly dry June comes to an end as we look ahead...
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wauwatosa's Common Council unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday night, May 18, that mirrors the new CDC guidance.
It allows fully vaccinated people to resume normal activities without wearing a mask.
Exceptions would be places like hospitals and businesses where masks are required.
Mayor Dennis McBride says he supports the measure and wants his community to get vaccinated.
"The CDC guidance has been very misinterpreted by people. It doesn't say undo all mask restrictions, what it says is for fully vaccinated people, things can ease off a little bit," Mayor McBride said.
Wauwatosa's complete mask mandate is set to expire on June 16.
