WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- CBS 58 has an update on one of Natalie's Everyday Hero's stories.
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, the students from Wauwatosa West have been invited to perform "Frozen" at the International Thespian Festival in Indiana in June.
Only nine theater groups have been picked for that festival, which showcases the best in high school theater.
The Tosa West production is already nominated for more than a dozen "Jerry" awards, which recognize excellence in Wisconsin high school theater. They performed eight sold-out shows to 7,000 people.
Last month, when Natalie Shepard talked to director Adam Steffan, she asked him what performing in a successful and spectacular production like this means to students.
"The confidence, the ability to say that they were part of something incredible and that they were the first. That's something that not everybody can say. And my hope as a theater teacher and director is that one day, they'll recognize that we're so proud of what they've accomplished," said Steffan.
