Strong cold front brings in the coolest air in a month
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's going to take a wind shift to clear some of this smoke. Hopefully, some can disperse later on Tuesday. We really need the winds to turn to a more southerly direction. This should happen by midweek.
In the meantime, smoky skies will hold much of Monday with an Air Quality Alert until noon on Tuesday. This could extend again. Stay tuned. Meantime, expect a slow and methodical rise with the temperature and humidity this week. Actually, closer to 90 by the end of the week. The rain chances don't look very organized this week. Perhaps a better chance on Sunday, the last day of the State Fair.
Update As of 10:45 AM Monday, August 4...
Alert now goes until noon on Tuesday...
