HARTLAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The CBS 58 Tailgate heads to state championship territory with Catholic Memorial hosting Arrowhead.
The Warhawks need to bounce back from last week’s 45 point loss to Muskego and it’s a good thing a program like Arrowhead never seems to stay down long.
“I said to the kids after our game that when you are faced with these situations, you really only have one decision that you can make and that’s to stand up and start new and start moving forward,” says Arrowhead Head Coach Fritz Rauch.
Arrowhead has a remarkable 21 year playoff streak with 13 trips to the state title game and 6 championships.
The warhawks have a lot of pride in their school’s history and know a win over Catholic Memorial would go a long way towards getting them back on track.
“The program is absolutely tremendous. I have so much respect for it and will respect it forever. It’s just a place where guys can become brothers,” says Arrowhead senior RB Zach Hastings.
“They’re going to be tough, they’re going to come out hitting. So we have to match that. Match that and bring our energy up, bring our physicality up,” says Arrowhead senior LB John Doleschy.
