WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Allis is one step closer to being named "Strongest Town" in the country. 

"Strong Towns" is a nonprofit providing resources aimed at helping overcome challenges. The contest started with a total of 16 towns. 

Narrowing it down to four, West Allis remains in the running this year for the Strongest Town title. The three other cities are close by -- Madison, Sheboygan, and Chicago. 

The winning town will receive a trophy, a mini documentary about the community, and more.
