WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS58)-- It’s the first time this year the white dust made a stop in Wisconsin..
“This is?, aw yea" Tavaris Hunter-Bell said. He was shoveling snow at West Bend Hospital.
Many people were out early trying to get ahead of the game.
“We started at 4:30 this morning, it started out just rainy wet and then as the day went on it got colder turned to more snow.” Matt Pederson said. He works for a landscaping company
The city got about three to six inches. There was a huge pile of snow in the Meijer's parking lot on Main Street. CBS 58 made a stop at Kwik Trip on Paradise Drive. Charmaine Schultz is a Guest Service Leader. She says when major snow is on the rise, they too have to prepare.
“We have to clean off the sidewalks, make sure the pump areas are cleaned off and everything is salted.” Charmaine Schultz, Kwik Trip Worker
We also asked people about driving conditions.
“Scary, I made my dad drive me," Gabby Pesch said.
“They were decent overall, they were not too bad today," Hunter-Bell said.
“Slippery today” Javaier Thompson said. He was shoveling snow at West Bend Hospital with Hunter-Bell.
