Whitefish Bay resident robbed at gunpoint while parking vehicle in garage

WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Whitefish Bay police are investigating an armed robbery that happened near Hampton Road and Newhall Street on Thursday, Jan. 27. 

Police said around 10:45 p.m., a resident was returning home and parked their vehicle in the garage. 

A suspect, described by police as a Black male, approximately 20-30 years old, wearing a large dark-colored jacket and baseball cap, walked into the garage and displayed a firearm. 

The victim threw her purse and phone at the suspect, who picked them up and ran to a red, older-style two-door sedan with a loud exhaust.
