The rain is done. After a few rainy days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday some good sunshine returns over the weekend. Even though it's going to be sunny, the wind will be blowing! Gusts on Friday will peak around 30 or 35 mph and the breeze will continue on both Saturday and Sunday.
Temperatures will hover close to average the next few days but after a few warmer days the National Weather Service has begun frost and freeze advisories and warnings. Lows over the next week look to be coldest Saturday morning when we could get close to freezing away from the Lake with the potential for frost everywhere. The chill at night will continue most nights over the next week with more chances for at least frost and an isolated freeze.
The rest of that weekend forecast looks good with warmer temps on Sunday with highs in the upper 50s and lots of sun.
Even though the growing season has started, we are still very early to do any spring planting. The average last freeze for our southeast counties doesn't start for a few more days through the end of April. Inland and northern counties sometimes don't see their last freeze until the beginning of May.
