CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Center District Board of Directors issued a notice of termination for cause against CEO Marty Brooks on Monday, June 8, placing him on administrative leave during a 30-day contractual process.

Board Chairman Jim Kanter cited three areas of concern in a Monday press release: misuse of Wisconsin Center District funds, violations of the bylaws and employee handbook and misrepresentation to the board.

The Wisconsin Center District owns and operates the Baird Center, Miller High Life Theatre and UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

Kanter said events and operations will continue as normal during the transition, and that he has been appointed chief of staff to the board to oversee day-to-day operations.

CBS 58 will have more details as they become available.
