Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 9:40 AM on Wednesday, May 17 in the 4600 block of W. Fond du Lac Avenue.
A 46-year-old woman, identified as Sherry Fiebrink, was driving east in a 2002 Toyota Corolla when she lost control and hit a tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. MPD is working to determine the cause of the crash.
The cause of death is pending toxicology. Officials learned the woman had used heroin in the morning prior to the crash.
