Officials: Woman dies after being T-boned by alleged drunk driver in Cudahy

CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 48-year-old woman struck by a driver who failed to stop at a stop sign, has died from her injuries. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Michelle Engman of Greenfield.

CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Greenfield woman is in critical condition after a crash in Cudahy on Friday, Dec. 6. 

It happened near Lipton and Van Norman around 3 p.m. 

The Cudahy Police Department says preliminary investigation shows that a 27-year-old man from Oak Creek was traveling southbound when he disregarded a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old woman from Greenfield. 

The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Police say she is in critical condition. 

The 27-year-old man was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody.  Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
