59-year-old struck, killed by vehicle while crossing street near 92nd and Silver Spring

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An investigation is underway after a driver fatally struck a pedestrian crossing the street near 92nd and Silver Spring Monday night, Dec. 2.

Milwaukee police say it happened around 7:18 p.m., when a 27-year-old traveling west on Silver Spring Drive collided with a 59-year-old pedestrian crossing the street southbound. 

The victim, identified by the medical examiner's office as a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on site.
