Woman shot during attempted armed robbery Saturday morning; man shot Friday in separate incident

The Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate shooting that occurred overnight, one involved an attempted robbery.

Around 1:25 AM Saturday, a 57-year-old woman was shot when three men attempted to rob her.    According to the Police, the men approached the woman in the area of N Booth Street and W Meinecke Avenue and demanded her property.  The woman attempted to run, shots were fired and she was struck.  The wound is described as non-life threatening.   Officers and detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and are searching for the three suspects.

Late Friday night, a 52-year-old man was shot while in the area of S 12th Street and W National Avenue.  According to the police, the shooting happened around 11:40 PM.  The victim was taken to a local hospital with what is described as a serious gunshot wound.   The Police were able to locate a suspect in the shooting and a 31-year-old man was taken into custody.   The Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
